Adamawa State govament done comot tok say dem ready for dis Value Added Tax (VAT) reform.

Dem done show support after Gov Wike raise di motion sey Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) no get power to collect VAT for state.

Rivers Division, Federal High Court, presided by Justice Stephen Pam, tok say na Rivers state get di power to collect VAT.

Solomon Kumangar, Director-General, Media and Communications, Adamawa State Government, comot tok say Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) good as e go reduce di reliance on federal government.

“We go join River state if federal govament appeal di judgment,” Mr Kumangar tok for interview with PUNCH.

Rememba say court don give Govanor Wike power to take collect VAT for hin state.

But Gombe state govament don comot advice Gov. Wike to consider hin stance for di matter as e go affect hin state and other states.
